The Basics of Design

Planning is important across the whole of a design project. This can be as simple as what needs to be ordered to complete the whole job, ensuring correct timing of ordering, delivery and completion; to a complex plan of a whole renovation or build from start to completion and ensuring there is limited down time due to items not being delivered on time, trades having other bookings, and incorrect or damaged goods. When we develop a plan, we also add in a contingency plan if items can not be purchased, styles change, colours are not quite correct, or just the plan set out id bumped out.

The more obvious aspect of planning is the planning of spatial usage and optimisation, ensuring all aspect of a floor plan conforms to building standards, as too the finishes and materials to be used in the space.
